Protecting Your IP
IP = Intellectual Property
Photographers, writers, designers, artists, journalists, bloggers – anybody who has created an original work and therefore has a copyright (owns intellectual property).
MyOws is a great website where, free for most people, you can store your IP details to protect them. If you need over 1GB of storage then they have paid plans, most freelancers etc will not need over 1GB though.
You automatically have copyrights in any original work you produce but the onus is on you to prove that you are the creator (which is where Myows will help you).
Not only can you keep records here, you can also start a claim through MyOws if you discover someone is using your copyrighted works.
Uploading your work to myows provides you with evidence as well as a deterrence measure designed to prevent theft. The site will also assist you in contacting unauthorised users of your work and is able to provide verifiable third-party evidence on your behalf, at your request.
So why not check the MyOws website out and see if you’ll find it useful – I bet you will.

Thank you very much for the review – It made my day!
You’re welcome, I’ve used MyOws for years (though not as fully as I should I am shamed to say) and you have just gotten better & better.
Thank you for all the work you do for us creatives.
